YOUR FIRST VISIT
Gather Info
For simple cases where we are just replacing one or two teeth with implants, budget about an hour for the initial appointment. This includes time for some simple paperwork at check-in, a 3D CBCT scan (CAT scan), some x-rays, and any other additional imaging needed. For more complex cases, like full mouth rehabs or All-On-Fours, allow additional time as these require more in-depth discussion. Regardless of your current situation, we want to be thorough with your plan.
Meet Dr. Nguyen
Once we have gathered all of the info we need, Dr. Nguyen will review it with you to determine the best course of action. For a typical, single tooth replacement, our lab tech will then fabricate your very own surgical guide, using the CBCT and Itero scans. This guide will be used for the surgery, and is a critical part of our trademarked 5 Minute Implant process. Please allow one full day for the fabrication of the guide, before scheduling your implant.
Schedule Your Implant
At the end of your welcome visit, and you've had to chance to ask Dr. Nguyen questions regarding your case, we will go over your treatment plan including; time frames, cost, insurance if applicable, finance options, pre-op and post-op instructions, prescriptions, etc, and also answer any additional questions you may have. In most cases, we can schedule your 5 Minute Implant the very next day after your initial consultation with Dr. William Nguyen.
MISSING A TOOTH?
If you're missing a tooth already, and are looking to replace it with an implant, these are the typical "5 Minute Implant" cases. As long as your bone is healthy, and there is enough bone, we can normally complete the implant surgery in just about 5 Minutes, once you're numb. After the implant is in, you will need to wait three months before we can "restore it", or put the crown on the implant.
If you still have any or all of the tooth in place still, and you need to remove it prior to the implant, please proceed to the next section.
Broken teeth?
If you have teeth that are beyond repair, we will need to pull them out before replacing the teeth with implants. This can typically go one of two ways. Sometimes, we are able to remove the tooth and place the implant in to the root's spot (the socket) right away. This is referred to as an "immediate implant." Sometimes, we need to remove the tooth, fill the empty socket with bone grafting, and allow the bone to heal for three months before we can place the implant. Whether we place the implant immediately upon extracting the tooth, or grafting and waiting to heal, are determined by our findings on your CT scan. Every case is different, and we want the best for you. Of course we would love to put the implant in right away, but if that's not the safest, and most predictable way, then we would need to wait for everything to heal before proceeding. Remember, we only want the absolute best outcome for you, so if waiting is required, so be it.
FULL ARCH REPLACEMENT
If you're looking to replace all of your teeth, either top, bottom, or both, 5 Minute Implants offers a wide variety of full arch replacement options. These options include: Full Zirconia All-On-Four, Snap-In "Locator" Dentures and also our typically preferred Implant Bridges, which are sometimes referred to as 3-on-6 (3 bridges on 6 implants).
